How low Or high snare drum stand you play drum setups simon phillips?

He could have his 14" deep bass drums if he had a rack.. And he wouldn't even need tom mounts on his bass drums then. It's not like his kit is designed for efficiency of setup/teardown, so the fact that he doesn't use a rack which were literally made for setups like this is crazy to me. Plus a kit that size easily eats up a lot of floor space on its own, and now we're throwing in a bunch of tripod stands on top of that? Smdh To put it more simply, his bass drum woes stem from his own unwillingness to adapt. Great drummer though, just hate to see a player of his caliber talk about dealing with an easily avoidable issue.

I've been a huge DW fan for years and have been binge-watching all of their UA-cam content, and in these videos where John is going through the factory during the middle of a shift I can't help but think what's going through the employees heads when John walks up with a Camera and stops whatever they're doing to show us lol. 6:40 Abel took it like a champ lol.

When you see these drums they are usually referred to as Soundwave Mark II. The difference being the undersized shells, later used on both the Genista and Signia drums, and now standard on most high end, foreign import Taiwanese-made Premier kits.. The beech re-rings will have XX stamped into them to show they are undersized, hence the need for plinths on the original Soundwave Mark I lug. Paired with the thin 3-ply supported shells, this is probably the best of the vintage Premier drums you can still buy for pennies. Genista will cost twice as much if not more, yet they have the Yamaha influenced unsupported shells. This recoding does no justice to what these drums really sound like. If you ever see them for sale, don't hesitate, just buy them, try them, and you will fall in love with them..

Admittedly as much as I like him this particular solo is a little bit repetitious. I've seen other solos by this great drummer that I prefer much more😮

Hi everyone a feew weeks ago i bought a 1976 rogers Big R the Londener Seven Butcher Block but the Drumhead are very old and not the right one for this drum. The one you are playing as a super nice sound just like i want mine.I try to see the drumhead you are using but i cant would it be possible for you to tell me all the drumhead you are using both side. I will appreciated very much if i could buy the the same one. Thank you

Absolute fantastic sound. Just got lucky and found two people selling their Austin era kits within an hour of me in the same blue glass glitter finish. Just picked up the second kit and the gentleman did not want to sell a matching snare. We discussed it for several minutes and I walked away with a matching bomb of a snare drum. Incredible drums.
